Verifactu for schools, solved from day one
From 2027, anyone issuing invoices in Spain must use verifiable invoicing software under Royal Decree 1007/2023. Edena is Verifactu-ready: it generates the record of every invoice and sends it to the AEAT automatically, so your school complies without changing its routine.
What is Verifactu?
Verifactu is the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) system that regulates how invoicing software must generate, record and store invoices. Its legal basis is Royal Decree 1007/2023 and Order HAC/1177/2024.
When does Verifactu become mandatory for schools?
Entities subject to Spanish corporate tax must comply from 1 January 2027, and all other invoice issuers from 1 July 2027. Adapting early avoids last-minute rushes and penalties.
What if my current invoicing software doesn't comply with Verifactu?
Invoicing with non-compliant software can lead to penalties. With Edena, once your electronic certificate is set up, every invoice generates its Verifactu record and is sent to the AEAT automatically.
